Cultivating bonsai can be relaxing while helping to add some beauty to the world. Bucks County Bonsai’s Scott White will be sharing his passion for the practice during a Doylestown area workshop, and while they work, the students will be invited to enjoy a flight of locally brewed beer.
Those who register for the event can choose from four different deciduous trees that can be kept small through practices such as pruning and wiring. The students will learn how they can train their bonsai to grow in either one of the classic shapes or a style of their choice, and the registration fee includes the growing pot, plant, the use of a leaf pruner, and also some fresh moss to place around the base of their tree.
Each of the students will be treated to a flight of four beers, and they will be going home with both their new plant and a manual so they will be able to continue to care for their bonsai. A printing services professional can provide items like these, and the pages can even be laminated so that they will stay dry and protected.
Free Will Brewing Company in Perkasie will be offering this learning opportunity on March 19. It is only open to those who are 21 years of age or older, and IDs will be checked.
