Doylestown to run holiday blood donation drive

This holiday season is coming fast, and Doylestown residents will have the opportunity to include one more gift on their giving list for this year.

The Doylestown Masons have helped to organize a blood drive, and it has partnered with the Red Cross to do so. Appointments can be made during its five-hour operating time, and it explained that all blood types are in high demand.

Anyone who would like to donate will be greeted when they arrive, and they will be asked some basic questions. A simple health check will take place, and if all is well, they can go ahead and make a contribution. Power Red donations can be made, and once the process is complete, everyone will be served some light refreshments before they head out to enjoy the rest of their day.

The listing for the activity pointed out that the Red Cross hopes it will become a local family tradition during the holiday season. It announced that to thank the donors for their generosity, they will be distributing socks printed with a festive holiday graphic design in honor of the 20th anniversary of the film “Elf”.

This opportunity for residents to give blood is scheduled for November 15th. Time slots can be booked from 2:00pm until 7:00pm, and the donation will be held at 55 East State Street.
