Doylestown invited to register for fundraising run
Veterans across America may carry a heavy load, but an event taking place near Doylestown will help shoulder their burden.
The organizers of the Honor and Courage 5k recently announced that its registration system has been opened, and the activity will be on offer in late September. The day will start with opening ceremonies with remarks from Vietnam Veteran Captain Dave Christian, and there are different ways for individuals and families to get involved.
Those who would like to participate can choose from a 5K run, a one-mile walk, or a kids’ run. Monies raised will aid the Honor and Courage foundation in its efforts to provide services and support to former military members.
This year, along with the runs and walk, a car and motorcycle show has been planned. There will also be music and other entertainment. Items prepared by a banner printing company can be used for the start and finish lines of a fundraising walk or run, and these may help to raise more awareness of the cause being supported.
The 2024 Honor and Courage 5k is set for Saturday, September 21, with opening ceremonies at 9:30 am and races starting half an hour later. The venue for the day will be Warminster Community Park at 350 East Bristol Road, and its website includes a list of its local corporate sponsors and other details.
