Doylestown invited to craft their own terrarium of terror

Doylestown green thumbs and those who are looking for some unexpected Halloween décor alike will soon be able to create a terrarium with a twist.

The Zombie Terrarium Planting Party workshop will start off with the participants hand-painting their very own zombie figure to add to their miniature landscape. Attendees can choose how scary to make their new undead friend, and once he or she is ready, the experienced facilitators will guide the participants through setting up a terrarium with living plants that is its own, self-contained miniature world. Digital copying can be used to produce instructional handouts that can be given to each person who participates in an event like this.

The workshop is open to everyone, and light refreshments will be available. According to the organizers, the event will be a fun one, and people are encouraged to work at their own pace. They are also welcome to take a bottle of their favorite wine to enjoy while they paint and plant.

The ticket price will be $29, which includes a hand-blown glass container, embellishments, plants, and the zombie figure.

This pre-Halloween activity will be held on September 16, 17, 30, and also October 14. It has been planned for Greenology Organic Living in New Hope, and more details can be found on its website.
