Doylestown historic venue plans holiday fun

The Village Improvement Association of Doylestown has extended an invitation to one and all to stop by the community to enjoy some Victorian-style holiday cheer.

The organization recently announced that “A Victorian Christmas” is in the works for the local area. The James-Lorah Memorial Home will provide a venue for the festivities, and it will be filled with sound, light, and color.

Guests at the function will be able to enjoy a tour of the home, viewing a variety of period decor as they go. An assortment of glass and other antique ornaments will be on display along with historic dolls and toys, and everyone will have a chance to learn about the traditions that were in vogue in the local area at the time. They can admire the furniture, and before they head for home, a stop at the location’s gift shop has been recommended. Here, they will find lots of gift ideas.

Communities that host an assortment of holiday activities often choose to have seasonal guides prepared to distribute to the public. A brochure printing company will be pleased to provide this service.

Both public and group tours are on offer at James-Lorah Memorial Home, and the schedule will kick off on December 1. Its Patch listing offers further details as well as information about various ticketing options.
