Being a first responder may come with a heavy psychological toll, but a short course can help to lighten the load.
A Doylestown learning opportunity that will be focused on psychological resiliency for first responders will explore the stresses they often face and offer tips for dealing with them. It was noted that this may help to prevent burnout due psychological stress, and the function will be led by a certified Crisis Management Specialist and Life Coach.
The syllabus for the afternoon will consist of several sections, and when the students walk away, they will have new additions to their self-care toolbox. The prevention of post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) and other stress-related health issues will be discussed, and tips for resiliency will be shared. The target audience includes law enforcement, rescue personnel, firefighters, correctional officers, and 911 dispatchers. The registration fee for the afternoon is $199 per person.
This training opportunity is slated to be held at the Bucks County Police Training Center. Hard copy versions of learning materials for workshops and other educational events can be ordered from area brochure printing companies along with promotional Pens and other supplies.
