Upcoming 10K to be held in Lewis Center
A local non-profit will host a 10K event in Lewis Center this August.
The event consists of two races – the Hoot Half Marathon and a 10K trail race. Runners can look forward to a beginner-friendly course specially designed to assist them with staying on track.
The event celebrates its sixth staging this year. It aims to promote the work of the Rocks and Roots Trail Association, which also serves as the organizer of the event. The group specializes in the preservation, promotion, and protection of running trails in Ohio. This event is one among many hosted by the organization in an effort to fulfill this goal.
For the race, each runner will receive bibs and a complimentary race T-shirt. Each participant may collect their packet on August 5 and 6 at the event's site, the Alum Creek State Park. A map of the trail is also available for download prior to the race on the event website.
The cost for tickets is $50 throughout July, and prices will see a $10 increase from August 1. There is a no refund policy in effect for this event. It also does not allow the transfer of race bibs.
