Charity 5K to be held in Lewis Center
A run/walk fundraiser is to be held in Lewis Center this September.
The´5K for K9s´is a charity event aimed at raising funding and awareness for sick or injured shelter dogs. It invites local residents to run or walk with their pets virtually or in-person. The funds acquired will go towards medical expenses required for the animals, as well as their general upkeep. Each participant will receive a complimentary race T-shirt, while top performers will also receive medals. Virtual race times may be uploaded to the event’s website at its conclusion.
The run is organized by the Franklin County Dog Shelter and Adoption Center. They specialize in offering a home to abandoned animals, as well as providing a temporary home to animals looking to be adopted to a new family.
The cost for registration will be $35, along with a $4.95 sign-up fee There will be a $5 increase for registration made on the day of the event. All registration options are available online through the event listing.
