The cold weather may have arrived in Lebanon, but avid kayakers who want to build or hone their skills can still hit the water next month.
The Kayak Roll Lessons workshop will be coming to the YMCA in Lebanon to provide beginners and experienced kayakers with the tips and techniques for a safe experience on Ohio’s waters. The class can accommodate up to five kayakers per session, with the instructor confident that students will learn how to roll their kayak after the first lesson or get their money back.
The instructor will provide the kayak and necessary equipment, which is covered in the cost of enrollment. Students are welcome to sign up for additional lessons to continue building confidence and skills with the instructor. George Davis will organize and teach the class. Organizers can use flyer printing to promote such events, with flyer placement on bulletin boards and bus stops increasing visibility and excitement.
Registered students will receive an email after their enrollment has been confirmed, directing them to the correct pool at the YMCA facility, which features five different pools. Reservations must be made by calling George Davis on 214-909-7000 or emailing purduegeorge@gmail.com.
Countryside YMCA, located on Deerfield Road in Lebanon, will host the kayak rolling class, with the first session scheduled for Sunday, December 14, starting at 3:00 PM. The first session costs $75 in cash per new student.
