Wellness event to be held in Lebanon

The YMCA in Lebanon will host a wellness event this February.

The event is called 'Living in the Present: Introduction to Mindfulness'. It is a workshop that aims to give participants a basic exploration of mindfulness meditation, which includes its benefits and uses.

Mindfulness is recognized for the role it plays in establishing a healthy lifestyle. It does so by helping individuals to be more aware of their environment, and its impact on them.

The seminar's instructor will be Laura Stanton from the University of Southern Ohio. She currently serves as an educator of Family and Consumer Sciences under the faculty of Food, Agriculture, and Environmental Sciences. She specializes in workshops that focus on teaching Ohio residents happiness psychology. This field of study explores ways to cultivate a healthy lifestyle across different aspects of daily life.

Admission for the event is free, and all residents are welcome. To register, residents should call the Warren County extension office. Their telephone number is 513-695-1311.

Brochure printing is a great way to get additional information to attendees for events such as these.

The workshop will be held on Tuesday, February 8 at the Countryside YMCA. This is located at 1699 Deerfield Road, Lebanon, Ohio 45036. Taking place at the Events Center, it will begin at 6:30 pm and end at 7:30 pm.
