Traffic construction projects continue throughout Warren County

Residents of Lebanon and other communities in southwest Warren County will have to continue dealing with road construction and subsequent closures as work continues.

Some of the projects will continue through 2020, as access to I-71 is improved and work is carried out on a number of roads.

The project on Kings Island Drive, which was begun last summer, should be finished by December 31. Signal work, the bike path, and curb work worth $6.5 million are completed. The contractor is now working on finishing electrical and lighting work, installing the mast arms that will hold overhead Signs, and irrigating the medians. Once the landscaping on the medians is done, the contractor will start paving.

The Western Row Road Interchange will remain as it is through the winter, according to county officials. It should be finished by November, 2017.

The Innovation Way Roundabout and the Socialville-Foster Bridge made a huge impact on intersections in the area, in particular Kings Island drive and Western Row Road. As of September 8, the roundabout had almost been finished, with only one course of paving to be done. The bridge, which was closed March 14, has been widened, and will open between Thanksgiving and Christmas. This project should help ease traffic congestion.

Officials in communities such as these can benefit by working with flyer printing companies, which can create detailed mailers for distribution to area residents, showing road closures.
