Online opportunity on offer for Lebanon diabetics

A program that will help diabetics to take charge of their health is now accepting registrations, and as it will be offered online, everyone who participates will be able to do so in safety.

Lebanon’s Countryside YMCA has teamed up with the Council on Aging of Southwestern Ohio to present a workshop series that will provide actionable tips and other supports that can help those with diabetes to live their best life. Both type 1 diabetes and type 2 will be included, and caregivers are encouraged to take part as well.

This virtual learning opportunity will be led by trained and experienced instructors, and the topics will include diet and exercise, with the class size kept small so that everyone will have a chance to ask questions and meet others living with diabetes. They will set goals and each week and can count on the support of both the facilitators and the other registrants.

Along with the opportunity to be part of the online session, each learner will receive a text that is easy to read and provides additional information and tips to supplement what will be taught during the workshops. These sorts of learning materials can be readily sourced from an area printing services provider.

The start date for this workshop series will be January 14. Anyone who is interested is advised to visit the Countryside YMCA website for further details.
