INX International Ink Co. broke ground months ago on its new Lebanon facility, and is now finally starting to move into its new home.
The operation is housed in a plant comprising 63,000 square feet, and houses nine employees who moved from an INX location in Blue Ash, a Cincinnati suburb. The nine current employees will be joined by additional staff, as INX plans to hire more employees. The final total of workers in Lebanon is projected to be 38.
INX’s new operation is located on 11 acres in the Lebanon Commerce Center, a business park that gives tenants quick access to I-71. When the building is finished, it will feature larger manufacturing space, a full-service laboratory for managing and developing colors, a testing and Quality Control area, and additional space for meetings with customers and training employees.
At present, officials are still continuing their inspections, and the company is obtaining final approval for the part of the building in which it manufactures solvents. Producing solvent ink is one of the specific operations the plant is made to handle.
Production is currently underway for paste and water ink, but new developments are anticipated by the end of the month. The company plans to hold an Open House sometime this summer, to welcome customers to the new location.
Company officials could work with a banner printing company to create a “welcome” banner for the open house.
