Live music returns to Lebanon

Live performances are making a welcome return in many communities, including Lebanon.

The Impact Shack will be the place fans need to go if they like rock, because the band Relic, with their guest Kasey Pot, will be shaking the place to its foundations soon.

Jordan Davis formed Relic as a studio project in Cincinnati in 2015. When Dan Dickershied came onto the effort as the drummer, the energy level spiked in both the studio and in live performances. Although the two call their sound “industrial-cyberpunk,” their music is danceable, offering a feeling of pop music buried deep beneath layers of pounding bass and drums.

Davis’s vocal work has been compared to Trent Reznor’s sound from the 1990s, sexy, strange, and vitriolic. The two often weave occult themes into their work but include their observations on the effect of technology on society as well. A review of Relic’s “Social Drift” album says:

“Leaner, meaner, but by no means cleaner than the band’s first outing, RELIC has demonstrated itself . . . to be a new force to be reckoned with in modern industrial…”

Kasey Pot is a singer/songwriter from Cincinnati who uses her songs to celebrate her faith. Her most popular song is “My King is Love,” which has over 1,500 views on YouTube.

The concert is set for May 14 starting at 7.00 pm; the Impact Shack is on McClure Road. Flyer printing can provide suitable advertising for events like this.
