Lebanon to host calligraphy classes

A calligraphy class will be held in Lebanon this July.

The event aims to give residents an introduction to the artform of mindful writing. It will feature hours of personalized instruction, followed by a practice session.

The class is perfect for beginner writers such as DIY crafters, or it can serve as a refresher for those who are already experienced in artistic writing. Skills gained at events such as this one can be useful not only for writers, but also those who use words as part of their art or graphic design.

Each person will receive the necessary writing materials, such as pen, ink, and tracing paper. There will be a full beginner's set at no extra cost, and these are free for guests to take home after class.

The event is organized by Three Muarie's Girly Goods. The company is a local, family-run organization that specializes in hand-crafted woollen items and lettered goods. Food and refreshments are available for purchase courtesy of the venue. Patrons will have access to a full bar, and an ice-cream shop. The cost for tickets to the event is $65, and they are available online at the Sip and Script website.

This event will be held on July 21, at the Hidden Valley Orchards. The Orchard's location is 5474 North State Route 48, Lebanon. It begins at 6:30 pm, and ends at 8:00 pm.
