Lebanon schedules traditional event

One of Lebanon's best-loved traditions is on the schedule to welcome the holidays.

The Lebanon Area Chamber of Commerce will once again be the host of the Lebanon Horse Drawn Carriage Parade & Christmas Festival, known simply as the Lebanon Horse Parade. As always, the event will be held the first weekend in December. The event includes two parades, one during the day, and the second after nightfall, when the event is candlelit.

Each year the day's festivities become more expansive. Although details are still being finalized, the celebration is likely to include food and gift vendors located along East Mulberry Street; musical entertainment of various kinds; storytelling; a traveling bell choir; and Paso Fino Horse Demonstrations. In addition, the Lebanon Mason Monroe Railroad (LM&M Railroad) will be operating the North Pole Express, which departs from the depot in downtown Lebanon. Rumor has it that a special visitor from the North Pole will also be riding the train.

In addition, various costumed street characters will be in attendance, and for this occasion, the more than 80 specialty and antique stores in downtown Lebanon will extend their business hours.

The Lebanon Horse Parade is scheduled for December 5, with one parade at 1:00 pm, and the second, candlelit parade at 7:00 pm. The Christmas Festival will take place from 10:00 am until 8:00 pm. Banner printing can be used to create festive decorations for the entire area of events like this.
