Lebanon library to host 3D printing class

Those interested in delving into the world of 3D printing should note that the Lebanon Public Library will hold the 3D Print a Woodpecker Feeder Workshop next month.

The Lebanon Public Library has served the community for over 100 years. It currently has over 150,000 items to check out or utilize while there. It also hosts various special events, workshops, and educational programs for Lebanon residents.

The guided course will teach attendees how to 3D Print their own suet treat feeder. A suet treat feeder is a hanging container in which suet, a peanut butter and seed-based food, can be placed in for woodpeckers and other birds to eat. The workshop will go over how to properly model the 3D pattern using Tinkercad, a free web app that teaches people how to code, design electronics, and create 3D models. Workshop participants will need to create a free Tinkercad account prior to attending the class. Attendees will also learn about the seven most common woodpecker species that the suet feeder may attract.

How-to workshops are often advertised on bulletin boards where Flyers can be hung. Such Flyers can be printed at local businesses specializing in flyer printing.

The 3D workshop is slated for April 18 from 5:00 pm to 6:30 pm. Lebanon Public Library is located at 101 South Broadway Street. The workshop is free to attend.
