Lebanon is red, hot, and blue

The Lebanon Blues Festival is on the way, and promises a day of fun, music, food, and even a run to celebrate the height of summer.

The Lebanon Optimist Club, which is a nonprofit, civic club focused on helping young people, is sponsoring the event, and all proceeds will be used to benefit Lebanon-area youth.

The festival offers live music, a beer garden, and a classic car show. The acts appearing on the main stage start with Bob Dellaposta, and other acts include the The Tempted Souls Band, Sonny Moorman, and Southern Avenue. Each band will appear on stage for 90 minutes.

Food trucks proved to be very popular last year, and will be back again at this event to provide food choices for festival attendees.

Another component of the day is the Red Hot Blues Run, which is organized by the Parks and Recreation Board. Runners can choose among a 5K, 10K, or 15K. Money raised from the entry fees for the race go to improve the city’s parks. The Lebanon Blues Festival is scheduled for August 5, from 11:00 am until 11:00 pm.

Events like this can benefit if organizers work with a banner printing company to create festive Banners to decorate the venue, and mark the start and end of the race courses in a highly visible way.
