Lebanon is getting ready for its first tasting event and craft beer festival, which it is calling ‘BrewHaHa’.
The name is a play on the word 'brouhaha', which is usually defined as the excitement surrounding some sort of sensational event or announcement. In this case, the excitement is in tasting new beers and enjoying a day in the sunshine.
At the moment, the event is looking for volunteers to help out. Those who come forward will receive a commemorative T-shirt, as well as a five-ounce glass for tasting, plus four tickets they can use to sample the beers (when they are off duty, of course).
The BrewHaHa is a fundraiser on behalf of the Lebanon Symphony Orchestra (LSO), Chorus, and Youth Orchestra. LSO board members and leaders of the Lebanon community are working to expand concert programs, offer graduating high school seniors scholarships, develop outreach programs, and produce summer workshops for young musicians.
Festival organizers might want to work with brochure printers to create a handout for attendees, listing the vendors and where to find them. They could include a map of the venue.
BrewHaHa is slated for this Saturday, April 25, from 5:30 pm to 10:00 pm. In addition to great beers, there will be food trucks with everything from grilled items to waffles to ice cream. There will be live entertainment as well, including the band Vanguard and comedians Mike Berlon and Ivan Pecel.
