Jobseekers in Lebanon who hope to work in manufacturing or aerospace will soon have a chance to talk to companies looking for staff.
The Dayton-Cincinnati corridor has a number of nationally known manufacturing and aerospace industries, and many of them are currently hiring. People who are considering a career in these fields might consider attending a ‘Cin-Day’ job fair.
Several area agencies, including such organizations as the Workforce Investment Board of Butler, Clermont, and Warren Counties;, have partnered with OhioMeansJobs to recruit more than 60 potential employers who operate in the region according to Adam Jones, who is the administrator of the Workforce Investment Board.
Ohio Senator Sherrod Brown is also involved in the effort. He noted that the job fair will bring together private and public partnerships that will help connect companies with those who want to work in manufacturing. Working together in this way will help bring success to the region in the long term. Organizers could work with a poster printing company to create poster to place around the region announcing the event and encouraging a healthy turnout.
The job fair will take place from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm on January 29 in the Sharonville Convention Center, located at 11355 Chester Road. Sharonville is about twenty miles from Lebanon, easily accessed via I-71.
