Drama camp brings new skills to Lebanons youth

Kids near Lebanon with acting and drama aspirations will celebrate next month, as a course designed to grow their skills is visiting the area.

The Acting Up Drama Camp is stopping in the Lebanon area in a few weeks, and students with acting aspirations are encouraged to register and grow their skills. The camp, designed for those in grades 5 through 8, will provide instruction on vocals, acting, dancing, and direction.

Registered campers will also learn to make props and costumes for a performance. Theater games and activities are a significant component of the camp, offering the participants fun ways to improve their acting and character development skills. The week-long event will culminate in a performance of the musical Magic Tree House: Pirates Past Noon Kids. Printing services are a valuable asset when producing props for drama events like this.

Auditions are not required for students interested in attending the camp, though they are essential to being considered for a role in the production. The audition deadline is Sunday, May 26. Other campers will be included as members of the production’s ensemble. Students should bring a packed lunch and bottle of water for each day at the camp.

The Lakeview United Church of Christ will host the drama camp on Monday, June 17, continuing until Friday, June 21. Registration costs $225 per camper, and reservations can be made online.
