Childrens retailer to expand its Lebanon operation

Persnickety’s Fashion Boutique, a children’s resale shop, is planning to expand and will need to move to a new location to do so.

Persnickety’s presently occupies a 400-square-foot site on Columbus Avenue, and will move to 530 North Broadway in Lebanon’s downtown core. The new location will provide an 850-square-foot space for the business to expand its services.

Lori Wortylko, who owns the shop, says Persnickety’s will have a staff of two employees, but she anticipates there will be more jobs created as the store expands. Wortylko noted that she is expanding because the Columbus Avenue store does not have the room to handle the demand for the clothing and services her shop offers.

Persnickety’s sells several different brands of children’s clothing, along with shoes and equipment such as swings, bikes, and high chairs. The shop also carries handmade items produced by local artisans, including shoes and jewelry. It accepts gently-used clothing, as well as toys, high chairs, and other equipment in good condition, on consignment.

Wortylko expects to have completed the move by May 1. She could consider working with a banner printing company to create a colorful promotional item to stretch across the door of the new location. Flyer printing companies can also create handouts, including coupons, for distribution near shops during promotions on their opening day.
