Tribute to legendary musician scheduled near Kettering

A talented musician from Texas is coming to a club in Dayton, a few miles from Kettering, and bringing Bob Dylan’s music with him.

Drew Gabbert’s “Chrome Horse: Bob Dylan Tribute,” features the artist truly embodying Dylan in a way that is both reverent and accurate. He evokes the multiple versions of Bob Dylan to have emerged over a sixty-year career, from the young man wearing the clothes of an old man, to the era of country crooning, into today’s seasoned artist. Gabbert captures each phase of Dylan’s career perfectly.

Critics note that part of Gabbert’s success comes from the fact that he avoids using electronics and technology in his performances, leaving the music pristine and intact. The show is striking to watch, and the music is flawless to listen to.

The man Gabbert honors, Bob Dylan, is a legend in the music business. Born in Minnesota, he brings a traditional folk sensibility to his work. His songs “The Times, They Are a-Changin’” and “Blowin’ in the Wind,” released in the 1960s, became anthems for the antiwar and civil rights movements.

Gabbert will be at the Hidden Gem Music Club, which is located at 455 Miamisburg Centerville Road in Dayton, on February 13, from 7.00 pm until 10.00 pm. When they plan events like this, organizers will often use flyer printing to create Flyers to distribute in the local area.
