An upcoming event will give audiences a chance to enjoy choral music.
The Kettering Children’s Choir is offering Dinner on Broadway, a night of celebration, community, and music that will help support young singers. The evening will bring Kettering Children’s Choir members offering performances inspired by Broadway shows; a scrumptious dinner served at the National Cash Register (NCR) Country Club; and both silent and live auctions.
In addition, D’Agostino Entertainment will provide bingo and music trivia fun, and Andrew Mitakides from the GEM City Groundlings will emcee the program. The Groundlings are a Shakespeare theater based in Dayton.
The Kettering Children’s Choir was founded in 1986 and admits new members by audition. Singers come from 30 Miami Valley communities and nine counties and range from eight to 18 years of age.
All proceeds from donations, raffle baskets and auction items will go directly to the support of Kettering’s young musicians, expanding their opportunities and programs, and supplementing the choir’s essential expenses. Events like this benefit when organizers use poster printing to create advertisements to support them.
Tickets for the evening are $65, which cover both the evening’s entertainment and the dinner. The event is scheduled for February 28, from 6.00 pm until 9.00 pm. Business attire is the requested dress code, and the country club is located at 4435 Dogwood Trail in Kettering. The deadline to sign up is February 16, and the auction will go live on February 15.
