A glittering event will kick off the holidays in Kettering, a Dayton suburb.
Three days of fun are planned that will start the holidays and support the children at Dayton Children’s Hospital.
The Sugarplum Festival of Trees 2025 will be held at Life Connection in Kettering. The three-day celebration begins with Swigs with TWIGS, a social event featuring wine and beer tastings. Admission includes an opportunity for people to create their own “flight” of wines and beers. Hors d'oeuvres that complement the beverages will be provided. A 50/50 raffle, Raffle Baskets, a DJ, and an ugly sweater contest are included.
The second day brings the Sugarplum Festival of Trees Annual Holiday Extravaganza, which is open to the public and free, as are photos with Santa. An online décor and tree auction is planned, and the Sugarplum Festival of Trees Boutique will offer baked goods and unique handmade items at the Lathrem Senior Center.
The final day gives people a chance to pick up trees and items they have purchased online. Large trees will be delivered.
Swigs with TWIGS is November 7, from 6.30 pm until 9.30 pm; tickets are $50 in advance and $55 at the door. The Holiday Extravaganza is November 8, from 10.00 am until 7.00 pm and the boutique is open from 9.00 am until 4.00 pm. The event ends November 9, from 9.00 am until 12.00 pm.
