Hamilton-based company expands into North Kentucky

It has recently been announced that Hamilton-based 80 Acres Farms, known for its innovative approach to farming, will be building a new facility in Boone County, Kentucky.

The company, which has created a name for itself by growing food totally indoors, operates a high-output farm that can function year-round while eliminating the need for herbicides and pesticides.

For an organization, time invested in Logo Design often pays off in increasing name recognition.

According to Andy Beshear, the governor of Kentucky, the new eastern Boone County facility will represent a $74m investment and provide 125 well-paying jobs. The Kentucky facility will be housed at a 22-plus acre site in a pre-existing 200,000-square-foot structure.

According to officials from 80 Acres Farms and the city of Hamilton, the company frequently welcomes government officials from around the globe who are interested in using indoor farming to increase the food security in their countries. Indoor year-round farming is particularly beneficial for those areas with less friendly agricultural environments.

Joshua Smith, Hamilton city manager, said:

“They had the prime minister of the Bahamas and an entourage of business people, botanists, and some government officials that were in town visiting with 80 Acres as 80 Acres looks to continue to expand their footprint, not only here in Hamilton, but also globally.”

The headquarters of 80 Acres Farm is at 345 High Street in Hamilton’s government tower.
