Governors wife announces Butler County free pre-K book program

The first lady of Ohio, Fran DeWine, recently traveled to Butler County and other areas in the Tri-State to spread the word about the launching of a free book program developed for preschoolers.

DeWine made an appearance in the media center library of Ross High School in Hamilton, where she announced the launching of the free Books program. The event was to unveil the Ohio Governor’s Imagination Library (OGIL) the purpose of which is to encourage early childhood literacy across Ohio.

The First Lady has been crisscrossing the state explaining the new program, which gives children a free book a month from birth until their fifth birthday. DeWine was quoted on Cincinnati Fox 19 News saying:

“I am thrilled to say that all 25,000 children from birth up to age five in Butler County are now eligible for the Ohio Governor’s Imagination Library. I urge every single parent, grandparent or caregiver to go online today and register their child to participate in this game-changing initiative.”

In many instances, flyer printing services are used to augment or expand upon information printed in a newspaper or other media, to ensure the message gets across and is clearly understood.

DeWine also made appearances in Highland and Clinton counties on the same day. Ohio provides, in partnership with Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library, matches the local affiliate dollar-for-dollar in funding the free Books.
