A new restaurant will be opening soon in Fairfield, continuing a legacy begun by the father of one of the new owners.
College friends Braheam Shteiwi and Mike Sage are opening Caruso's Ristorante & Bar in the space once occupied by the Spinning Fork. The Fork was founded by Braheam's father, Rakan Shteiwi, who left the restaurant to his family in his will. The younger generation is naming the place Caruso's after a restaurant of that name Rakan operated in Cincinnati.
The new owners are transforming the restaurant's interior, renovating the main dining room, which covers 2,500 square feet, and adding a private dining space. The smaller venue will hold as many as 30 people, and can be closed off completely for business meetings, when privacy is required. The pair have also given the building a new coat of paint, and refreshed the landscaping. Promotional Products are often distributed to build brand recognition when businesses like this open.
Caruso's menu will feature American-Italian fare, traditional Italian dishes, and creations the two have dreamed up on their own. These include handmade pasta and wood-fired pizza. They plan to serve pasta dishes for mainly at dinner, and concentrate on sandwiches and pizza at lunchtime. They are also working with suppliers in the immediate area to source as many ingredients locally as possible.
