Ohio State University looks to start fundraiser

The Ohio State University in Columbus will begin its “Day of Giving” charity event next month. The fundraiser will happen online and is directed towards those involved with the university.

The charity event is meant for students and alumni to support the university through donations. Donators can choose a part of the school they want to support by giving a contribution. The funds will go towards developing research projects and other academic activities. All donations are tax-deductible, and the university accepts from international sources too. Those looking to support the charity in other ways can promote the event on social media.

The university also asks donators to see if their employers have a gift matching program, as many companies will match their employee’s donations as Corporate Gifts to the fundraiser. If such a program is in place, donators can start a request through their company website or send a hard copy form to the university.

The charitable event will start on March 22 and will last the entire day. Those looking to donate can make their contributions at dayofgiving.osu.edu on the day of the event. If participants are interested in providing support after the charity has ended, they can set up a monthly gift option. The university will receive money each month, and donations will be charged to the donator’s credit card.
