The 2020 Girls World Expo will take place in Columbus this summer. The one-day event packs in the action for girls in the community.
STEM, workshops, and live performances light up the agenda. The expo will also present fashion and art. Vendors at such events can work with local printing services to order flyer printing. Flyers can be distributed at the booths to highlight special offers, future purchases, event and contact information.
The Girls World Expo began in 2011 with a group of women from various areas in the country designed an opportunity to unite girls in local communities. The goal is to education and empower girls while providing educational opportunities.
One of the main events at the girls’ expo is the Girl of Merit Award Ceremony. Girls aged 11 to 18 years old who have proved themselves to be examples of leadership while positively influencing the community can be nominated. Any member in the area can submit a nomination. A special ceremony is held to celebrate all nominees and award the winner.
Volunteers interested in assisting may fill out a form on the event website. They are needed to assist with activities involving speakers, entertainment, exhibitors, and performers, as well as taking tickets at the entrance.
The Girls Expo in Columbus will take place August 30 at the Center of Science and Industry from 12:00 to 4:00 pm. Admission is free.
