When it comes to helping others, a Columbus group believes it is never too early to get started, and it will be providing kids with an opportunity to participate in some grassroots level community service.
The Seeds of Caring Main Office, which is located at 355 East Campus View Boulevard, will be welcoming children for an activity that will see them prepare Keep Warm Kits for their homeless neighbors. It will take place in the evening, and it is for kids from the ages of 4 to 12. Each attendee must be accompanied by an adult.
Attendees will be using the materials provided to assemble the warming kits, and these will include hats, hand warmers, food, toothpaste, and other toiletries. They will also be invited to browse through the organization’s Books that explore other ways to get involved in caring for others. The registration fee, a $10 donation, will help to cover the cost of the materials used.
Young people who get involved with a project may find the experience to be fulfilling, and it can also teach them life skills. Stationery printers can design customized certificates of thanks to give out to each participant in an event.
Seeds of Caring has scheduled this hands-on day of helping others for next Thursday, November 7. It will run from 6:00 pm to 7:30 pm. Get a Free Quote for Stationery Get a Free Quote for Books
