When Columbus kids head back to class, their families will be invited to head to a local park for an afternoon of excitement.
The organizers of the 2024 Columbus Back to School Bash and Fam Jam recently released the details about the day for any community members interested. Although the main draw will be the giveaway of free school supplies, there will be more besides this.
Attendees of the function will be able to take part in one of the friendly contests, visit the petting zoo, have a pony ride, or interact with the costumed characters. Magic and other entertainment is in the works, and carnival-style games will also be on hand. Food trucks will be parked at the venue, and these will be joined by vendor and resource information tables.
According to the listing for the activity, handouts such as free promotional Pens and other school supplies, pizza, Tim Hortons treats, and other premiums will be distributed for as long as supplies last. The 2024 Columbus Back to School Bash and Fam Jam will kick off another academic year on Saturday, August 3. It is scheduled for Goodale Park, and each family may collect a maximum of two sets of supplies.
