Columbus chamber announces date for small business session

Columbus-based small business owners may want to make sure they reserve their seat for a session that will be co-hosted by the Columbus Chamber of Commerce and Huntington Bank.

The Small Business Seeds for Growth workshop has been designed to empower small businesses by connecting them with funding and other capital streams they may not be aware of. It may be especially helpful to companies that are under-resourced, and everyone will walk away with plenty of knowledge they can put to use.

The free event will run for four hours, and the participants will be provided with an opportunity to freely engage with potential financial partners in their home area. Experienced entrepreneurs will share their best practices as well as tips and advice, and to add even more value to the day, there will be a draw for $1,000 business grants, and 10 winners will be announced.

While there is no charge, those who are interested in joining learning will need to register in advance. Everyone will receive a sack lunch as well as market dollars, and they may request a grant application when they sign up. Swag bags for an event that include promotional pens and other items prepared by print shops are often handed to the attendees in a learning event.

The Small Business Seeds for Growth session is scheduled for Wednesday, January 22 in the Ross Auditorium at Franklin University. It runs from 11:00 am to 3:00 pm.
