A talented vocalist will appear in Cincinnati soon.
Los Angeles native Beth Hart was attracted to music as a toddler, starting piano lessons when she was four. She started with classical music then expanded to include the works of artists like Led Zepplin and Etta James.
When she was in the 10th grade, Hart began her studies at Los Angeles’ High School for the Performing Arts, studying cello and vocal. A classmate urged her to sing at the Comedy Store on their open mic nights, which led to additional club appearances throughout Hollywood. She was 15 when she asked Jimmy Khoury, guitarist, and Tal Herzberg on bass to join her on “Ocean of Souls,” which she dropped in 1993.
Hart began her breakthrough in 1999, when she released “Screamin’ for My Supper,” which featured “LA Song (Out of This Town).” The single went to #1 in New Zealand and hit the charts in the US as well, and was featured in an episode of the TV series “Beverly Hills 90210.” Hart was simultaneously performing off-Broadway in “Love, Janis” in which she played Janis Joplin. She has collaborated with bluesman Joe Bonamassa several times, increasing her visibility.
A review says:
“ . . . she was very emotional and the songs touched us deeply!”
Beth Hart will be at the Taft Theatre in Cincinnati at 7:30 pm on February 19. Working with poster printing allows organizers of events like this to create attractive advertising.
