A fundraiser is planned near Canton in support of a local attraction.
MAPS Air Museum in North Canton, a short drive from Canton, is raising money for its operations. The museum is selling a limited number of tickets, so anyone interested will want to buy theirs as soon as possible. Ticket sales are on a first-come, first-served basis, and groups will be seated by size.
Mr. Mike’s Catering is in charge of the menu. Choices include chicken cordon bleu, broccoli, cauliflower, salad, meatless pasta, rice pilaf, a roll, and a bottle of water. Organizers ask that no beverages, including alcohol, be brought into the venue. MAPS already plans to sell pre-packaged snacks, water, soda, and coffee.
The meal is only part of the fun, as music by the band LaFlavour is also on the schedule. The band started out in 1967 in Massillon, Ohio, but played Motown and soul rather than following the “British Invasion” route. They developed into a dance band and still entertain audiences today
MAPS has a collection of aircraft from both private parties and government agencies, as well as numerous military artifacts. Brochure printing can be used to create pamphlets about attractions like this.
Organizers advise anyone who is interested in attending to get their tickets as soon as possible so they can determine the number of meals needed. The event is scheduled for September 18 from 5:30 PM until 10:00 PM, in the main hangar at MAPS.
