Tribute to iconic music coming to Canton

Motown is some of the best, most popular music in the nation, and now a show will pay tribute to this iconic sound.

Motown produced artists like Marvin Gaye (“I Heard It Through the Grapevine”), Aretha Franklin (“Respect”), and The Temptations (“Ain’t to Proud to Beg”), who were some of the most successful and recognizable acts of the 1960s.

At an upcoming dinner theater event, some of the best artists in the area are paying tribute to the classic Motown sound. Among the performers are Melissa Day, Mickey Erdos, Mark Adkins, and Joy Ellis, who will appear in a revue directed and produced by Spotlight Entertainment and the Stardust Dinner Theatre.

Among the legendary performers whose timeless hits will be heard are Marvin Gaye, Jr. Walker and the All Stars, Stevie Wonder, Diana Ross, The Vandellas, The Four Tops, The Temptations, and The Supremes. Organizers of events such as this have an opportunity to create exciting advertising by using poster printing.

The dinner will comprise salads, chicken parmesan, sides, a beverage, a roll, and dessert.

The event is set for June 25 and the venue is La Pizzaria’s Crystal Room. Dinners open at 6.30 pm, and there will be a cash bar. Tickets for the show and dinner only are $39.95, and patrons are reminded that seats are already assigned, so it is not necessary to arrive early. In addition, organizers will be running equipment and sound Checks and will not open the doors.
