An event coming up in Canton will pay a comedic tribute a beloved television show.
The Stardust Dinner Theatre is presenting “A Tribute to The Golden Girls Murder Mystery.” The evening is an homage to a classic television program, “The Golden Girls,” and will feature actors from the local area playing the four main characters: Blanche, Dorothy, Rose, and Sophia. The production is live on stage, and will involve the four women in some of their funniest adventures yet. Dinner will be served before the performance. The murder mystery ends with a twist, and will involve audience participation.
“The Golden Girls,” a half-hour comedy about four older women living together in Miami, was a solid hit, and ran on NBC from 1985 to 1992.
The menu for dinner is chicken parmesan, with sides, a roll, a salad, beverages, and dessert. A cash bar will be available. This is a sit-down meal, not a buffet, and anyone with special dietary needs should contact the venue as soon as possible to inform them. When events like this are planned, organizers can use brochure printing to create programs.
The “Golden Girls” tribute takes place April 1, from 6.30 pm until 9.30 pm at La Pizzaria, at 3656 Dressler Road Northwest in Canton. Reservations are required and seating is reserved, so there is no need to come early. Early admittance will not be permitted, as the venue will be conducting sound Checks and getting ready for the evening.
