A tribute to an iconic band is coming to Canton this July.
Tribute bands can be great fun as they allow fans a chance to see an accurate recreation of a favorite band they may have missed. In this case, Silver Springs - a Fleetwood Mac Experience, will be bringing the music of Fleetwood Mac to Canton. When events like this are planned, organizers can use poster printing to create colorful advertising that attracts audiences.
Stevie Nicks was arguably the heart of the original outfit, and she is played in this ensemble by Becky Kimble. Becky played music with Don Kimble, her father, a talented musician who had made several recordings.
Don Kimble has passed away, but his talent survives in his daughter, who learned her craft through hours of practice and performances. She performed the Fleetwood Mac classic “Landslide” for her father, and learned that it was his favorite. In addition, audiences loved her rendition of the song, so she added other Fleetwood Mac songs to her repertoire, and the idea for Silver Springs was born.
The current lineup comprises Becky Kimble, Keith Williams, Steve Poole, Daniel Tharp, Adam Reckner, and Sue Rance. All are professional musicians who have played in a number of other bands. They used the COVID-19 lockdown to perfect their craft, and were rewarded with an increasingly large fan base.
Silver Springs – a Fleetwood Mac Experience will appear at Canton Gervasi Vinyard on July 20 at 8.00pm. The venue is at 55th Street NE.
