A ball that has become a beloved tradition in Canton is back for another year.
The Wind Chime Ball is a celebration featuring a raffle, silent auction, music, dancing, dinner, and more, all to raise money to help local women in the fight against breast cancer. More than 700 people attended the 2022 ball and raised more than $195,000. The ball has already sold out, but there are still ways for people to get involved.
Restaurants, businesses, and home bakers have the option of volunteering to make sweet treats for the 700 guests expected to attend. Another way to assist is to donate an item that will be auctioned at the ball. Suggested donations include works of art, beauty treatments, travel, tickets to theatrical performances, sports-related items including memorabilia and tickets, and gift cards.
Tickets are $150 each or $300 per couple, and ticketholders will be seated on a first-come, first-served basis. A 10-ticket table on the upper level is $1,200, and a 12-ticket table is $1,500. A 10-ticket table at the level of the dance floor is $1,500, and a 12-ticket table at that level is $1,800. For the first time this year, people will be able to make virtual bids from home, for $25.
The Wind Chime Ball is set for February 25 in the Piazza Ballroom at La Pizzeria, at 3656 Dressler Road NW, from 6:00 pm until 11:00 pm. Organizers of events like this can use banner printing to create suitable decorations for the venue.
