An upcoming concert features legends in two different music genres.
Country superstar Brad Paisley and legendary rock group Lynyrd Skynyrd will appear together at a concert in Canton, co-headlining the 2021 Concert For Legends Presented by Ford.
Brad Paisley has been a fixture in country music since he dropped his debut album, “Who Needs Pictures,” in 1999. He has racked up an impressive record, with the RIAA certifying all his albums as Gold or higher. Paisley has won two American Music Awards, 14 Country Music Association Awards, 14 Academy of Country Music Awards, and three Grammys, and is a member of the Grand Ole Opry.
Lynyrd Skynyrd has been rocking since forming in 1964 in Jacksonville, Florida. The band has sold over 28 million records in the US alone, and in 2006 was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. They were placed in the No. 95 spot on Rolling Stone’s “100 Greatest Artists of All Time” list.
Opening the show is Jimmie Allen, a multi-platinum songwriter and recording artist, who launched his career by hitting the No. 1 spot twice in succession with songs from “Mercury Lane,” his debut album. He is the first black musician to start his career in this manner. Poster printing is often used to create advertising for events like this.
The show is set for Monday, August 9, from 8:00 pm until 11:00 pm, at the Tom Benson Hall of Fame Stadium on Harrison Avenue NW.
