Pub crawl unleashed in Canton

An upcoming pub crawl in Canton encourages participants to enjoy themselves for a good cause.

The Ohio Unleashed Pub Crawl is raising funds to support Pawsitive Ohio and Pawsitive Hope, which want to bring low-cost spay/neuter programs to the local area. Pawsitive Ohio is a partner of the Best Friends Animal Society network, with a goal of eliminating killing healthy animals simply because they are unwanted. Part of this effort includes making sure spay/neuter services are available.

Anyone who Signs up to participate in the crawl will be given a special limited-edition T-shirt that shows their support for the Pawsitive organizations. The shirt is also the “ticket” that will give participants access to special drinks at participating organizations, a drink cozy to keep their DORA cup cold, and an opportunity to win prizes.

The starting point of the event is Centennial Plaza in downtown Canton. As more restaurants, shops, and bars sign on to take part in the crawl, listings will be updated, and a map will be issued. Organizers can use flyer printing to create the map quickly, so it is as complete as possible before the event.

Although the crawl supports furry friends, participants are asked to please leave their own buddies at home. The crawl is scheduled for September 9, from 5.00 pm until 9.00 pm. The crawl is limited to those 21 years of age and over only.
