New owner gives caf a facelift

Jennifer Miller worked at Café 1320 in North Canton for five years, but never gave up her dream, which was to own the place. Last month, she made her dream come true.

She not only owns the café, but has given it a makeover, adding menu items and new features. Furthermore, she reports that many previous regulars who had left the café have started coming back.

Miller says she got new tables, repainted the café, and added a television, which has proven popular with people who want to watch sports during the weekends. On those weekends when the café is closed, Miller rents it out for parties, and is available to do catering if requested.

One of the biggest changes she has made is to offer delivery of breakfasts and lunches to local businesses. She is also planning to put in a patio so people can eat outside in the warmer months, and has brought in entertainment on Tuesday and Thursday nights, with the aim of increasing the number of patrons who come to the café for dinner.

She took a hard look at the menu as well, dropped some items people were not buying, and added those dishes customers requested most frequently. She makes most of her offerings from scratch.

Miller could work with a flyer printing company to encourage new patrons to try the café.
