Mystery with a twist in Canton

A mystery will unfold in Canton soon.

CluedUpp Games is the creator of live games played outdoors, and now Canton residents have a chance to find out what the fun is all about. The game is The Ripper: An Outdoor Murder Mystery Adventure.

The case that must be solved is simple and frightening – a new Jack the Ripper has been terrorizing Canton, and the players must find him and put an end to his reign. To accomplish this, players need to follow clues to solve the puzzle.

First, participants need to choose their teams, which can be made up of two to six players, at least one of whom needs to have a smartphone. It is also suggested the teams give themselves exceptionally clever names, and wear typical detective garb, though dressing up is not mandatory. Clues will be sent to the team to enable them to locate and question suspects, who may be located throughout the city.

To keep participants safe and healthy, the game is played completely outdoors, only a limited number of tickets will be sold, and teams will be in proximity only with their own members. Distancing will be enhanced by starting teams out in various parts of the city.

The date of the event is next Saturday, June 12 at Centennial Plaza, and teams can start anytime between 9:00 am and 2:00 pm. Prizes will be given in various categories, and flyer printing can be used to create instructional handouts for events like this.
