A popular winter concert is on the way to Canton, with a magical twist.
The Wizards of Winter is a holiday rock concert suitable for everyone. The group comprises musicians who once played with bands such as Trixter, Blue Oyster Cult, Alice Cooper, Rainbow, and The Trans-Siberian Orchestra, along with veterans of the Broadway stage. The band will offer “The Christmas Dream,” a rock opera celebrating the Christmas holiday.
The performance is a story based on “The Christmas Dream,” their latest album, as well as music from their CD “The Wizards of Winter,” and another of their albums, “The Magic of Winter.” Using the music from these works, the Wizards paint a musical picture of a journey to find the true meaning of Christmas.
The Wizards of Winter is a large group comprising 11 musicians. They are known for the brilliant keyboards, powerful percussion, precise strings, and beautiful vocal work, all to serve a rich story that will call up memories of past Christmases. Their music ranges from ballads to pop to rock, and rumor has it that Mrs. Claus will make a visit to the concert (no word on where Mr. Claus will be; perhaps getting ready for his big flight).
The Wizards of Winter will be at the Canton Palace Theatre on Friday, December 1 at 7.30pm. When events such as this are scheduled, organizers can use brochure printing to create programs for audience members, who often like to learn about the performers.
