Local restaurant back on the scene

Canton foodies will be happy to know that the Angry Barbeque has completed its renovations.

The restaurant, which is located in Canton at 4640 Belden Village Street NW, provides regular service as well as catering and event planning. Events include private dinners, theme parties, meetings, open houses, weddings, and, naturally, barbeques.

Angry Barbeque says it marinates its meats for three days, using a different marinade for each, depending on what the meat is. The rub Angry Barbeque uses on its ribs is different from the marinade it uses on chicken, which in turn is different from what it uses for pulled pork. The eatery also says meats spend a longer time in the smoker than chicken, but all meats and poultry are grilled to seal in flavor. Despite the long preparation time, patrons need not call ahead.

The restaurant serves ribs, its original barbequed chicken, and its special signature dish, barbeque-fried-baked chicken. Side dishes like fries, onion rings, and mac and cheese are also on the menu.

When catering events, Angry Barbeque promises to deliver its food with enough information that host can convince guests they made the meal rather than had it ordered.

Angry Barbeque's management might consider working with a flyer printing company to create handouts, including a coupon for distribution near the restaurant, for a few weeks after the reopening.
