Karri Fedor and KEROSENE features Karri Fedor as the band's lead vocalist, which is a bit unusual, as most groups have men in the lead. However, it is Fedor that has attracted attention to the group. She has been compared to singers like Pat Benatar, Janis Joplin, and Patsy Cline. This might not be surprising, as Fedor learned to sing by singing with them when they were played on the radio, and repeating this until she matched the sound of her heroes.
She was 15 when she began listening to and singing with her idols, and by age 19, she was performing karaoke, along with her friend. Listeners told her she should sing professionally, so she started taking part in contests from Tennessee to Nevada. She also appeared on “Nashville Star,” a reality TV show, where she climbed into the top 15 contestants.
Karri Fedor and KEROSENE call themselves a “rockin' hillbilly blues band.” They are, in fact, a cover band, and they play the songs of artists as diverse as Adele and Guns N' Roses, but with a sound unique to them. One review says:
“I have heard some great vocalist [sic] but karri [sic] hands down best ever!”
Kerri Fedor and KEROSENE will be at the Canton Palace Theatre on January 30, 2021, at 7.30 pm. Poster printing is frequently used to publicize events like this.
