The popular rock band Incubus will be stopping in Canton's neighbor Akron as they tour this year, celebrating the 20th anniversary of the release of their album ‘Make Yourself’ – a platinum seller.
The tour will take Incubus to 39 cities, where they plan to play songs from throughout their career. Brandon Boyd, one of the founding members of the group and its lead singer, said Incubus is keenly anticipating the tour, because ‘Make Yourself’ proved to be a crucial point in the band's career. He added they are looking forward to reintroducing this particular album to fans, since it led the group to explore different musical styles.
Incubus has sold over 23 million albums, with one album going to Number 1. Possibly the band's most popular album, and the one the tour celebrates, is 1999's ‘Make Yourself’. The band's biggest hit, ‘Drive’, is from this album. A review on Digital Tyrants.com described Incubus in live performance as “exciting,” “emotional,” and “passionate,” and said “the night belonged to Incubus.”
Tickets for the concert are already on sale, though the concert is not until 8:00 pm on November 9. They are likely to go quickly, and are for sale through LiveNation.com. Incubus is also offering fans a VIP upgrade that includes a backstage tour, a photo-op on stage, and an invitation to the band's jam session held before the show. Events like this are great places for organizers to use poster printing to advertise the show.
