A festival will bring food, wine, and fast cars to Canton.
The Stark County Italian American Festival is on the way to bring three days of food and fun to residents. The event celebrates the Italian heritage in the United States.
Among the special events that are part of the festival are a wine/food pairing, a bocce ball tournament, and a display of Italian cars. Among the marques that will be seen are some of the finest machines in the world, including Maserati, Lamborghini, Ferrari, and more. Italian cars of all kinds are invited to take part.
The park has four professional-grade bocce courts that are under a roof, so the tournament will go ahead no matter the weather. First- and second-place teams in both the Men's and Women's divisions will win trophies.
Also on the schedule is the Viva il Vino Wine Pairing Event, where attendees will be able to enjoy six wines, paired with five foods, courtesy of the area's finest restaurants and vintners. Although the festival is three days long, the pairing will occur only on the 12th, from 6.30 pm until 8.30 pm. Banner printing is ideal for creating decorations for outdoor events like this.
At the present time, the festival is scheduled for June 11, 12, and 13, at Weis Park in Canton. Those who are interested in attending should monitor the venue for any changes.
