In recent months, a number of construction projects have begun, indicating economic conditions in the area may be improving. According to an article in the Examiner,
four new hotels are planned for the city, and one existing hotel will undergo a major remodel. However, it's not only the hospitality industry that is joining the building boom.
The Venue, a shopping center located on Everhard Road, recently welcomed Earth Fare as its first tenant, and others have applied to lease space. Several restaurants are under construction, including one that will take over the former Friendly's ice cream space. A spot that once housed Verizon will become a bank.
One of the largest projects is the Hall of Fame Village, which has a $500 million price tag. The project started last year when Fawcett Stadium was renovated and renamed. Governor Kaisich recently signed a measure that would give the Canton area $11.7 million, $250,000 of which will pay for a study of the best way to connect the downtown area to the Hall of Fame Village. Another $1 million of the allocated funds will be used to redevelop Market Square, which is close to downtown Canton.
Developers, restauranteurs, hotel professionals and other business people can all take advantage of the products and services offered by printing companies to create things like promotional materials for publicity purposes, Flyers to announce store openings, and Brochures to describe the amenities of various hotels.
