Classic court comedy comes to Canton

A beloved American tradition will take place in Canton in the new year.

The legendary Harlem Globetrotters will bring their special brand of basketball magic and trademark showmanship to the Canton Civic Center. The team was formed on the South Side of Chicago, where the players lived, in 1926. They have always been an exhibition team, playing games to demonstrate techniques. In nearly 100 years of their existence, they have played more than 26,000 games (winning almost all of them), and traveled to over 120 territories and countries, delighting audiences with their combination of comedy, theatrics, and exceptional basketball ability. Organizers of events like this can use brochure printing to create informative programs.

There are add-ons available for the event, but they are sold only in conjunction with tickets for the game, not individually. The first is the Magic Pass, which allows participants to get on the court with the Globetrotters, make a few shots, take photos, and get autographs.

Second is the VIP Bench, which is limited to eight lucky fans who will get to watch the game from the vantage point of the Globetrotters’ Bench.

The third option is the Celebrity Court Pass, at which time fans will be allowed onto the court to watch the team warm up before the game. The final add-on is the Meet & Greet, which gives fans a chance to meet the players and take photos before the game.

The show takes place on January 2.
